Thank you for visiting our website.  We take the privacy of our donors and clients seriously and have created this Privacy Policy to explain our practices with respect to the personal information we collect both online (through our website, www.nmcrs.org (the “Site) and offline. We provide this notice to explain our online information practices and the choices you can make regarding the collection and use of information we collect from you through our website.  We are committed to protecting your privacy and want to ensure you understand how your personal information will be used. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. 

In addition to the policy outlined below, our employees are instructed to proceed according to the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Code of Ethical Principles and Standards, including those standards relating to privacy and confidentiality of donor information.

What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you register on our site, make a donation, subscribe to our newsletter or blog, respond to a survey, sign up to volunteer, fill out a form or browse some or all of the web pages that include donation information.

When navigating or registering on our site, you may be asked to enter: your name, email address, mailing address, phone number; the name of the individual honoree, memorialized, or referenced through a donation. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

When you donate to the Society on the site you provide us with your credit card number and expiration date.  We do not store or otherwise retain your credit card information for significantly longer than necessary to process your donations.

What do we use your information for?
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

  • To personalize your experience (your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs)
  • To improve our website (we continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you)
  • To improve customer service (your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs)
  • To process transactions (your information allows us to process your credit card transactions)

To send periodic emails: The email address you provide to process your donation or apply to volunteer, may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order or application, in addition to sending occasional Society news, updates, related product or service information, etc.

If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter, submit, or access your personal information.


Do we use cookies?

We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.
