  • Below is a partial list of sources available. The Society cannot confirm nor endorse any particular site on the information contained therein. Some of those listed have other items of interest for the military family.

    www.ope.ed.gov/accreditation — Use this site to determine if the school you wish to attend is accredited by the U.S. Department of Education.
    www.financialaid.com — excellent source of information regarding the importance of deadlines; also the why’s and wherefores of starting early to locate scholarships/loans.
    www.scholarshiphelp.org — Provides guidance for first time entrants into the education funding search.

Call (317) 630-1212 for Samsung American Legion Scholarship (assists direct descendants of US wartime veterans enrolled in undergraduate collegiate studies); and American Legacy Scholarships Fund (provides scholarships to children of active duty service members, National Guardsmen, and reservists who died on or after September 11, 2001.
